Terms of Use

These conditions govern use of the website. Accessing a page, reading its material, or submitting a search means that you accept them. If you disagree with any condition, discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a local, state, or federal agency. Neither the website nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its role is to identify official criminal-record resources for Ouachita Parish and Louisiana. It is neither a private investigation business nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site, not a government service. It does not store official records, retrieve them on a visitor's behalf, conduct an official background check, or submit filings.

Its content identifies the Ouachita Parish offices and systems that hold records, including OPSO Records/Identification, Fourth Judicial District Court and the Clerk of Court, Louisiana State Police BCII-LCJIS, and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you agree not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use material from this website or a linked tool to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone; such conduct may also violate criminal law. Louisiana registry information is published for community safety, not confrontation, vigilantism, blacklisting, or unlawful discrimination. Misuse of Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry data may carry criminal consequences.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not produce background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Our advertising partners' tools are likewise not offered here for FCRA screening. You must not use information from this website or a linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally permissible check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or an authorized official channel through Louisiana State Police BCII-LCJIS.

5. No Legal Advice

Website content is general information, not legal advice. Explanations of Ouachita Parish records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or Louisiana expungement rule applies to an individual matter. Consult a Louisiana-licensed attorney for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when a court restricts or expunges information. Delays and omissions can occur. Treat no website statement as an official representation by OPSO, the Ouachita Parish Clerk, a court, Louisiana State Police, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to sheriff, court, state agency, legal-resource, and outside-service websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, fees, or availability. Read the destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Ouachita Parish Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, modified, distributed, or used to create derivative material without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from website use, including reliance on content found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the website or violation of these terms, including associated legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from website use must be brought in a court located in Louisiana. Louisiana Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1 et seq., and R.S. 15:587 apply to official custodians and criminal-history dissemination; they do not make this private website an official record source.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision becomes effective when the updated terms are posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected provision will be modified only to the minimum extent needed for enforceability.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
